Posted in Erasing HardDisk Data at 11:40 pm by admin

Even if you delete files on your hard disk you can get back the data very easily. Using Data Recovery tools you can get back your data very easily. Though you may not guarantee 100% success most of your data can be retrieved back.
So if you have any confidential matter on your Disk just deleting the files will not help you. You need to wipe off your disk to completely erase all your data. Wiping tools generally fill the entire disk with 0’s so that your data is removed completely. Deleting all these files though the delete key will most likely just erase their shortcuts.
The reality is that the deleted files are still stored in the hard drive and that they only became invisible because their shortcuts had been deleted. The OS just removes the pointers to those locations. So you feel that the data is lost. But the data is still present on your disk. The only disadvantage of opting to wipe disk is the time it requires to do so.
